MainStreet Media of Colorado purchased KKCL and closed on Valentines Day 2016. Since then we have worked diligently to build a new kind of independent radio station featuring modern music classics from yesterday and today. The Cloud broadcasts in Boulder on 96.9 FM, 1550 AM in Central Denver and beginning in November we added a second FM channel in Golden, Colorado (also on 96.9 from high atop Look Out Mountain).

In radio format terms: Triple Adult Contemporary. Including a strong focus on local recordings at Colorado's remarkable venues and studios. Including Red Rocks Amphitheater, Caribou Studios in Nederland and The Aspen Music Festival. These recordings are a remarkable body of work from artists as diverse as: U2, Amos Lee with the Colorado Symphony, Dave Mathews, Indigo Girls and Sting.

All core artists on the Cloud.

Blend this music mix with classic modern pop from the 80's, 90's and today? You're in the Cloud.

Why the Cloud?  It's an acronym of sorts for the co-location of content, digital and audio utilizing state of the art audio technology. In tech and music savvy Colorado, our focus is to provide a breathtaking listening experience co-located at 96.9 and www.thecloud.fm with music and spoken word content virtually never heard on the radio. Our current signal reaches over 2 million people in the Denver-Boulder Radio market (primarily in the northern suburbs).
