In retirement, I launched a way to pay forward to both the community and my first career love: radio broadcasting.
Now entering our 10th year, 96.9 the Cloud as become a Golden Community Fixture.
This is a result of the stations combination of community commitment and a highly curated blend of soft rock targeting adults over the age of 40.
The radio station targets this audience for two reasons.
First, it's the largest segment of the population we serve in Jefferson County, Colorado (well over 50 percent).
Second, research proves this segment of the population that's still committed to radio as a first in-car listening choice.
So far it's working.
The radio station serves well over 100 weekly advertisers.
For only $100 a month through our small business + locally owned business platform well over 90 percent of our clients have been loyal to the radio station since 2016 (our first year of advertiser placement).
The Cloud is the result of a whole lot of hard work and contributions of skill from my many friends in the radio industry.
We've developed a proprietary cloud based platform that takes advantage of artificial intelligence combined with just good common sense.
This allows us to be effectively affordable for our advertisers.
When you tune in it's abundantly clear that the technical sound, voice over contribution and digital designs are a suburb collective collaboration of the wonderful people I've worked with over the years both here in Colorado (KHOW, KOSI, K-High and the Mile in Vail) and around the country at major market radio stations in San Francisco, Dallas, Chicago and Philadelphia (with some of the most admired broadcasting companies in the nation).
